It's time for Woman Crush Wednesday!
Today's Women Crush Wednesday features a Q&A with #tiuannapolis babe, Francesca. I met Francesca at a Tone it Up Annapolis meetup not too long after I moved to Maryland. She's beautiful inside and out, and is a new mama! She
's such an inspiration and badass enough to workout with the one and only Jillian Michaels at the Tone it Up Tour a couple years ago! Thank you so much for letting me feature you!
Q&A with Francesca
How did you get started with Tone it Up?
I found TIU around three years ago on Instagram. Some friends from high
school were posting things about Tone it Up so I started following them.
I followed TIU for a year before finally joining my first challenge:
the Bikini Series 2017...I was hooked. I became a nutrition plan member
right away. The program was so fun and incorporated many styles of
workouts and the nutrition plan was based on the science of nutrition
which really intrigued me.
What motivates you?
Recently, I’ve found that being a good example for my daughter, new mommy here

,
is my biggest motivation. I want her to know the importance of taking
care of yourself. That being your “healthiest you” effects those around
you. I want her to know that she can do whatever she puts her mind to.
And that beauty is more than just skin deep.
What’s your favorite type of workout(s)?
It depends on the day but I always feel my strongest after I nice long run or a hot yoga class....and abs all day ever day!
What are your fitness/wellness goals?
I’ve run four half marathons over the past four years. Taking a running break
at the end of my pregnancy and beginning of postpartum mommyhood, a
goal of mine is to run my first half as new mommy this fall. I also want
to host a fitness event sometime this year so stay tuned....
If you had to pick one word to describe yourself what would it be?
I would say strong-willed. I’ve had many obstacles in my life, as I’m
sure a lot of people do, and my will has gotten me through the toughest
of times.
How has your fitness routine changed since having a baby?
Since having Flora, I’ve had to taper back on the days and duration of
my workouts mostly to keep up with milk production. Breastfeeding is a
wonderful thing but burns lots of calories. It’s just a season of my
life right now. I work out around 3-4 times a week for no more than 30
mins. I still feel like I move my body enough to stay sane haha! But I
am excited to see how my fitness journey changes once I stop
breastfeeding, for now my first priority is keeping the milk makers in
full stock.
